Good Morning:
For those of you who did not come in at all on Wednesday, please prepare and turn in a PTO by Friday close of business, for the time you missed if you want to get paid.
Kind Regards,
JoAnna Howell
Office Manager | HR
Team,
Most of us are at work.
Roads seem to be clear of all ice.
However east of I-85 (Lawrenceville) and south of town got hit hard.
Kennesaw did not get any snow.
We are open and delay opening for all employees until 10:00 am
Thank you,
Mark Darnell
President, CEO
Team,
Based on what I’m seeing and the fact that some of our Staff lives in the northern part of Atlanta I believe it is safe to say that we will be closed Friday.
Please execute a PTO for either a Vacation Day or PTO day.
Please be safe.
Thank you,
Mark Darnell
President, CEO
Team,
The weather states that it will snow on Friday starting around 9:00 am with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees.
We will continue to monitor conditions.
We will make final decisions whether to work on Friday on Thursday.
If we decide not to work and you want to be paid, please execute a PTO.
We will keep you posted.
Thank you,
Mark Darnell
President, CEO
Team,
We are all leaving at 4:00 pm today for New Years
Happy New Year
Thank you,
Mark Darnell
President, CEO
Team,
The landscaping crew for our building will be trimming trees in front of the building on Monday morning.
Please DO NOT PARK on the other side of the parking lot adjacent to PIB and the trees.
Matt and Brian please move the company trucks to another area.
Thank you,
Mark Darnell
President, CEO
Team,
As you are aware there is tropical storms warnings for Atlanta tomorrow.
We will watch weather conditions throughout the day and will let you know if we feel we should close tomorrow.
I am not real concerned over rain but more about the wind tomorrow.
I am viewing the weather maps and it appears the winds will be at it highest at 4:00 am tomorrow morning but only getting up to 45 mph with possible gust up to 52 mph.
That is not significant.
We will let you know before you leave today.
Thank you,
Mark Darnell
President, CEO
Again, the Spammers and Scammers are at work!
BE CAREFUL when you click on ANYTHING in an email. See examples below
These bad guys will try to disguise themselves as fellow workers or your manager or boss. They will try to mask their email with an address that is spelled very closely to ours or to a real company like Microsoft, Intuit, Uline or Amazon.
They will tell you need to change your password NOW! because it’s that time, or it has been compromised, or some other scary reason. DO NOT fall for it!!
They are hoping you will hurriedly click on it because you don’t stop and think!
Always make sure the sender is accurate. If in doubt ask… call the sender, ask I.T., ask me…
VERIFY any email asking you to change your password to anything!
PLEASE NOTE
QuickBooks ONLY asks you to change your password within the software NEVER through an email!!!
If something comes across your desk, please at the least let me know so I can warn others.
EXAMPLES:
Gina had an email from Microsoft Authenticator (supposedly) asking her to re-set her password.
The sender’s email was very long and almost said ‘Microsoft’ but not quite.
If she had just clicked on it – she could have been in serious trouble.
Thank you Gina, for bringing this to my attention.
Accounting also received an email from someone requesting payment on an invoice for something ‘Mark’ had purchased.
The email even included a ‘conversation’ between Mark and this entity. Very legitimate looking if we didn’t take the time to really inspect things. I know we all have a lot on our plates, but do NOT let that stop you from taking the time required to ask the simple questions.
Good job Marina, for being so detailed!!
Stay attentive!! Mark will NOT ask you to buy season tickets for anyone for any event…
