Yesterday I wrote about ways to end a relationship, which I am sure people do not like. I therefore thought it would be a good idea to also share how to go about it. These tips will not suddenly make the break-up less sad, but they might make it a little more bearable. After all, you want to hurt the other person as little as possible. Don't immediately go out again. You can go out and have sex with others. Sex Hookup in South Africa.
If you end the relationship, you still hurt the other person's ego. So don't make it a long story, but be clear and keep it 'short'. Easier said than done, of course, but a long list of reasons why it would not work does no one any good. State the main reason and be honest and clear.
Do not blame the other person for the break-up. It's painful enough for someone, so don't aggravate it by saying it's because of something they did (unless it's cheating, in which case you can say something). Instead, try to make it clear that the two of you are not right for each other, because it's nobody's fault.
In the short term, leaving the door ajar may ease the pain, but it is better to remove the cast at once. Giving the other person hope will only lead to more unhappiness and you will end up hurting them twice. If you feel that there is no future, then you have to be open and honest about it.
This sounds obvious, but it's not. It is actually very simple: treat the other person as you would like to be treated. Would you like to be dumped by text message? No, of course not. Treat the other person with care and respect, so that no bad things can be said about you later. Who knows, a nice friendship might develop if you end it in a pleasant way.
Of course, there is rarely a right time, but there are certainly times when it is better not to. If you really want to be respectful of the other person, do not break up on a Monday when you have a busy week. I understand that the end of a relationship is not necessarily on the agenda, but try to do it just before a period of calm, so that your soon-to-be ex can recover without twice the stress. Of course, you should not break up in a crowded place with other people, because you would force the other person to repress their feelings and this is a bad idea. A quiet place where you will not be disturbed is a must.
